Sharon Coker Obituary
passed away on September 19, 2024, after a brief illness. Born on November 27, 1946, in Tallahassee, Florida, and raised on Davis Island. She was a proud graduate of Plant High School, Massey Fashion Institute in Atlanta, and Arizona State. The Cokers retired in Tampa Bay, close to family and friends. Sharon is survived by her son, Charles Clayton Coker; her sister, Annette Kelley Ayers; nieces, Kelley Ann and Katheren Ayers; and loving Coker extended family. A memorial service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, December 18, at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Gathering after cemetery at La Teresita Restaurant, 3248 W. Columbus Dr., Tampa.

So sorry to hear this news; I had just corresponded with Sharon on September the 6th to see if she would be going to our High School reunion and she said she was sick. Didn't say how sick.... Knew Sherrie from Gorrie to Wilson to Plant. Our families did lots of things together the most memorable was a plane trip to Miami with them before they went to Cuba. Also our trip to New York City after Christmas in 10th grade. Got to see the Peppermint Lounge!!!!!! She will be missed.
