Kathy, I think of you and your family often. I have this gorgeous vase that you gave me with flowers for my birthday. This was almost 25 years ago. It means the world to me because it is a tangent reminder of how big your heart was. I will never forget you and I will forever mourn your untimely and horrendous death. I send my love to your family

Kathy was the kind of person that took everything to heart. No one was a stranger to her. She never turned anyone away and always helped those who needed help. She loved her family and friends. Enjoyed her flowers and vegtable garden. Her time with us was too short, but the memories she leaves behind will stay with us forever. We love you Kathy.. Aunt Mary and Uncle Loren

miss kathy was a wonderful sweet person. I might add she made the best pumpkin bread I have ever had. Her daughter Maria is one of mine and my husbands best friends, so needless to say we had spent a lot of our summer days meeting up at miss kathys house before all of us would head to the river. She loved her kids and grandchildren and it showed. miss kathy was always busy doing something. She touched a lot of people and will be missed by everyone who cared and loved her. I love you maria and Iam so sorry this had to happen, not just in general, but that it had to happen to you. Iam praying for all of you.

I am so sad and angry about this tragedy! I met Kathy when I moved in to the same complex as she and Bob. Maria was a baby and she was pregnant with Bobby. My kids were small, too. I would watch Kathy walk by my kitchen window, on her way to check the mail, etc. The first time we talked, I immediatly knew we would be friends. We stayed in touch for several years, but different paths in life eventually separated our lives. I never forgot about Kathy. Who could? Yeah, that smile, her easy, calm way, her sense of humor, her love for her family. I am sickened that Kathy's life was cut so short and that I will never have a chance to see her again. My heartfelt sympathy to Kathy's family.

My husband and I moved into the neighborhood a few months ago and were pleasantly surprised at the quiet and peaceful privacy we have enjoyed. We have never met any members of your family but were deeply saddened by your loss. We only live a block away and were outdoors at that horrible time and just felt something dreadful had happened when the usually peaceful calm was shattered. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I recently lost my Dad (he was 89) and any loss is painful, let alone a sudden, tragic and unexpected one such as yours. We will keep you in our thoughts and hope that time and the comfort and closeness of some of the wonderful friends that have responded will help you remember the warmer and happier times.

My name is Terri Geiger.Kathy and I were great friends thru Jr HI and Hi school. I have the fondest and funnest memories of that time in our lives.Kathy,Lisa,Sally and I used to hang out together. Most of the time at Kathys house. Her mom was so cool!!We used to run around the neighborhoods singing and just being silly girls.I had a boyfriend named Jerry, and kathy had a boyfriend named Bob. The four of us hung out alot as Bob and Jerry were friends and Kathy and I were friends. We had a bunch of good times.
I remember going to Kathy and Bobs wedding. They were together forever! She will be missed, and never forgotten.

There are many happy memories of Kathy as we grew up together. Kathy myself and my sister went trick or treating we were young maybe they were ten or eleven and I was around eight. We dressed up in costumes and it wasn't even Halloween. We knocked on doors and said, "trick or treat" and although it wasn't the holiday people would go to their cupboards and give us something until one mean old lady called the police on us and we hid under a truck because we were scared until they went away. I don't think we were doing anything to break the law but we thought we were going to go to jail.

She was loved by all, and will be missed by many.
Kathy I will miss you my cousin.
