Francis J. Coleman, Jr.

Clinton - Francis J. Coleman, Jr., 79, a lifelong resident of Clinton, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Susan (McMahon) Coleman; their son, Kevin M. Coleman & wife Christie, and granddaughter Morgan Frances Coleman, all of Bolton; several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. He is predeceased by his son Francis J. Coleman III, and two sisters, Judith Bailey and Joan Foley.

Francis was born in Clinton, son of the late Francis J. & Kathryn (Cummiskey) Coleman. He graduated from the Clinton High School, Class of 1955 and continued studies at St. Michael's College. Francis began his career with ITT Surprenant in Clinton before establishing FJC Electronics and later FJ Coleman & Co., which he successfully owned and operated for many years until retiring. Francis was a founding member of the International Golf Club in Bolton and long time Patriots season ticket holder. He was a strong supporter of Clinton youth sports programs, a Eucharistic Minister and life long member of St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish in Clinton. He always enjoyed the opportunity to share a fine meal and friendship with those he cared most for and was happiest when entertaining family and friends in his home on Hammond Street. Funeral services are to be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 from the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 2 until 5PM.
