In loving memory of my Father, I miss him so much! He will forever be in my heart with love and respect for the way he showed his love of family and friends. His legacy will go on as he would wish. Love always and forever till we meet again!

This is Beverly Davis in El Dorado, KS. I am working on Newman genealogy and came across Uncle Ernie's obituary. My heart goes out to his family. My favorite memories of him and his family were at family reunions. Uncle Ernie always had that "Newman" smile. I am sure he will be missed by everyone that knew him. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

When Ernie married Gertie, my former mother-in-law, we discovered that Ernie had known my father for many years. That relationship was the topic of many enjoyable conversations over the years. Ernie was a fine man. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privelege to have known him.

I'll always remember Ernie's kindness and wit. I grew up with the grand kids loving the old house and then the new house where we would all gather for food and fun. Ernie will always be in my heart and will forever be considered a grandfather to me.

I first met Ernie when we moved next door to him in 1949. My father and he built kitchen cabinets for several years. He had personally taken care of me when my parents were and left to the care of my brothers. I stayed in touch with the family and ultimately as the youngest of 4 boys, married the youngest of 4 girls as next door neighbors. He was as much my father as father-n-law. He will be missed!
