Madison, TN
Loving father and devoted husband, passed away on September 19, 2014, at age 88. Preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Corinne Hitt.
Survived by his children, Lanny (Suzanne) Adams, Larry Hitt, Nena (Ritchie) Shelton; grandchildren, Joshua (Becky) Adams, Thomas Hitt; great-grandchild, Landon Hitt; brothers, Bobby (Marion) Hitt, Mickey (Linda) Hitt, Kenneth Hitt; sisters, Edith Flint, Polly (Butch) Adcock.
A veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, he retired from DuPont after 27 years.
Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, Monday from 4-8 p.m. Chapel service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in Middle Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Fund.
