KEMP, Julie Carol "JuJu" Age 54 of Cross Plains. March 22, 2013. A loving wife, proud and nurturing mother and grandmother, passed away March 22, 2013 at her home after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Julie, a Certified Public Accountant, was proud of the accomplishments she had achieved after obtaining her degrees from Vol-State and Western Kentucky University, but more proud of seeing her family achieve their goals. Julie is preceded in death by her parents, Rush and Nancy Martin. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, John Michael (Mike); sons, Joshua Tyler (Josh), John Lucas (Luke), his wife Kelsi, & their daughters, Rhealynn Grace and Emily Kate; in-laws, Roy and Betty Kemp of Old Hickory; sisters, Rhonda (Randy) Long of Mt. Juliet and Sherry (Eddie) Pirtle of Smyrna; nephews, Brandon Long (his daughters, Kearsten and Marijane), Blaze Long and Trey Pirtle; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Special thanks to Jane McCoy and special caregiver, Jessica Redfern, Dr. Doss and his staff at Tennessee Oncology office in Springfield, Dr. Nguyen and his staff, Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, Skyline Medical Center, Mitzi with Friendship Home Healthcare, and Jana and Judy with Odyssey Hospice.
