Mrs. Katie Kidd, age 82, died Sunday at her residence.
Survived by devoted husband, Oscar J. Kidd; children, Cordell (Helen), Tony (Kaye), Chester (Sharon), and Darryl (Janice) Kidd, Barbara (Dr. Bobby) Sanders, Patricia (Rev. Joseph) Waters; brothers, Frederick E. (Evangelist Nadine) and Riley O. (Emma) Clemmons; sisters, Jessie L. (Joe) Spickard and Dr. Wallicia (Dr. Charles) Covington; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Kidd will lie-in-state Friday, September 26, 2014 at JC Hellum Funeral Chapel from 2-6 p.m. Visitation Saturday from 11 a.m. - 12 Noon, with funeral to follow at Corona First Baptist Church. Pastor Damond Bragg, eulogist. Interment Mt. Ararat Cemetery.

The hearts and minds of many will continue to resonate daily about such a beautiful Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and many other family members and friends. She is absent from the body but present with the Lord. We can thank God for having such a beautiful soul to cherish.
