Betty Colomb Obituary
LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Monday, October 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Mrs. Betty Amos Colomb, 73, who died September 25, 2012 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Joseph Roy Colomb, Sr.; three daughters, Sheila (Johnnell) Broussard, Sandra (Gabriel, Sr.) Duffy, Janice Broussard (John Damon Broussard); one son, Shannon T. Colomb of Lafayette, LA; five sisters, Mary Ann (Sidney) Charles of Bellevue, LA, Mary Victoria (Simon) Reed, Ruby (Melvin) Richard of Baton Rouge, LA, Betty Jeanette (Grady) Williams of Las Vegas, NV and Elodie Doucet of Grand Coteau, LA; one brother, Henry Amos, Sr. of Bellevue, LA; seven grandchildren, Mia Colomb, Nia Broussard, Jonte' Broussard, Gabriel Duffy, Jr. and Kimiko Onezine of Lafayette, LA, Christian Colomb of New Orleans, LA and Jamarion Ardoin of Ville Platte, LA; four great grandchildren, Jai'Lyn Charles, Jaden Colomb, Julien Broussard, Lailah Johnson and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Roy Colomb, Jr.; her father, Wilfred Amos; mother, Clementine Amos Bankston; step-father, Hardy Bankston; three brothers, Gus Amos, Valex Amos, Sr. and Lionel Amos, Sr.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Syrie Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and continue Monday from 7 a.m. until time of service.
A rosary will be recited on Sunday at 7:00 p.m.

I remember your mom's beautiful and loving spirit. We had many good times at your house during those high school days.
