I was so super sorry to learn of Louis´ passing from my recent VNHP Association magazine. LTC West was my commander at the Third Army VIP Flight Detachment at Fulton County Airport (now known as Charlie Brown Airport) Atlanta GA in 1970-72. He mission qualified me in the U-21 and VC-47 aircraft as a young Captain. We shared our off duty fishing interests with night crappie fishing on Lake Jackson and occasional trips to Panama City for stripers.
Great Army Aviator, great commander, and good friend forever. A great man, God Bless your family and your soul.
Very Best Regards to your Family
