Robert J. "Johnny" Blackwell

Blackwell, Robert J. "Johnny" Retired owner of Baton Rouge Industries for the Blind and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 4:30 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2005, at his home. He was 76 and a native of New Orleans. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, June 26, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at St. George Catholic Church on Monday, June 27, from 10 a.m. until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Thomas C. Ranzino. Entombment in St. George Mausoleum. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Louella Lee Blackwell; a daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Wesley Kelly; five sons and two daughters-in-law, John and Mary Blackwell, Jeff and Debbie Blackwell, James Blackwell, and Bobby and Barry Blackwell; and six grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Jonathan, Rebecca and Jeffrey Blackwell and Kaitlyn Kelly. Pallbearers will be John, Jeff, James, Matthew, Jonathan and Jeffrey Blackwell, Wesley Kelly and David Lee Sr. Special thanks to Dr. Richard Robin and his staff for years of dedicated care.
