David Eugene Dade Sr.

1944 - 2018

David Eugene Dade Sr. was born February 27th, 1944 and passed from this life to the next on October 13, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Carol his "Angel"; his nine children; his younger sister, Joan Hoeye; his sixteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He will be joining his mother, father, and his oldest sister in Heaven. He was the quintessential jack-of-all-trades and a modern-day renaissance man.

He had many talents which were crafted by his many careers, hobbies, and passions. A Marine, an apprentice plumber, a brick mason, a business-owner multiple times over, and most importantly a loving husband and father.

At the age of 27 he met the love of his life and for 46 years they journeyed through life together, raising 8 children on a shoe-string budget, remodeling more homes than one can remember, and leaving a lasting impression on everyone he came across. Dave always spoke the truth and was never afraid to "say it the way it is". Characterized by his grit and work ethic, there was never a challenge too big or complex for him. Men like Dave are rare in today's world but I guess God needed some repairs done on the pearly gates … Honey, Dad, Grandpa, Dave... you were an incredible presence in our lives and you will be missed.
