My deepest sympathy to the family and my dear friend Maria Parra. Paula was a special lady and I enjoyed chatting with her on the phone. When I asked about Maria she would always tell me " esta con un ojo abierto y el otro cerado' and laugh. May the Lord comfort the family thru this difficult time.

My deepest condolenses to the Parra family, God has her in a better place and some day we will all be together. I have known Paula and the Parra family from Weslaco, sometimes months and years passed by but when we talked or saw each other it was like no time had passed. She was a dear friend more like family to me. RIP Paula, love you! Linda Jimenez Arvizu (Gilroy, CA)

Paula was the second eldest in our family. She was my big sister. She was sometimes wacky, sometimes goofy, sometimes forgetful, but she had a big kind heart. She was always there for her kids, her grandkids, her brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews, nieces and for so many friends. She was always ready to contribute to anything that needed to be done in her own special way. I know that Paula is in a better place, feeling no more pain, and no more sorrow. She is hanging out in heaven with our father, our mother, our grandmother, our sister Candy and so many others that have gone before us. I was so blessed to have had such a wonderful big sister. For her beloved Dr. John Schatz; thank you so much for being so patient with Paula, and caring for her for so many years, she cherished you, loved you oh so much!
For all of Paula's friends, thank you for sharing your lives with her, and for being part of her life. Paula is gone, but not forgotten. May god bless her and keep her in his care. Your best looking brother ..... Albert
