Rosa M. Cortez
Rosa M. Cortez, 84, of Salinas, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Los Angeles and lived in Mexico where she met her husband Jesus Cortez. She then came back to the U.S. where she lived a long and fulfilling life with her family.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rosario Villaseñor; and grandson, Jose Cortez.
She is survived by her husband, Jesus Cortez; son, Juan Cortez; daughters, Lupita Estrada, Carmela Ramirez; numerous grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St., Salinas, CA 93901.
Rosary will be held Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 7:00 p.m., at the Struve and Laporte Chapel.
Funeral Mass will take place Friday, July 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 22 Stone St., Salinas, CA 93901.
Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott St., Salinas, CA 93901.
