Charlotte Bryant, 87, of Searcy passed away from this life on Sept. 13, 2022. She was born Sept. 30, 1934, on Rich Mountain in Mena, Ark., to the late Carlos Hill and Mary Hill (Wiles).
She married Curtis Bryant in 1959, and they lived briefly in Hot Springs before settling in Searcy, where Charlotte was a member of the First United Methodist Church. A graduate of Ouachita Baptist College, a former church secretary and a school teacher, Charlotte loved learning in general, as well as reading, sewing and crafts.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Jones of Bald Knob; son-in-law, Scott Jones; grandsons, Kaleb Jones and Elijah Jones; granddaughters-in-law, Hannah Jones and Faithe Jones; great-granddaughter, Delilah Jones; great-grandson, Thatcher Jones; sister, Cora Sue Senn; and several nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, James Hill, and her husband of 59 years, Curtis Bryant.
A memorial will be held in Mena, date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to First United Methodist Church in Searcy.
Funeral services are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia.
