Sandra Gail Higgins, born December 5th, 1942, at her home in Calderwood, TN, passed peacefully at her home in Alcoa, TN on August 7th, 2022. Sandra graduated salutatorian of her class in 1960, then went on to graduate business college. She worked in various business management positions, then was partner/owner of Smokin' Joe's Bar-B-Que for thirteen years before she retired. Lovingly known as "Grammy" by many, she loved to cook and bake, but most of all she cherished her time with family. Preceded in death by her parents: Hugh and Edith Baldwin, sisters: Diane Hancock and Sue Sparks. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Joe Higgins, daughter and Son-in-law, Sandra and Harold Heim Jr., daughter, Verni Martorano, grandchildren: Peter Wills, Dustin Collins, Samuel Higgins, Zackary Peabody, Krista Kintz, Jeremiah Higgins, and Sean Peabody, great grandchildren: Bennett, Paxton, Gavin, and Memphis. In keeping with her nature, funeral services are private.
