June 13, 2014

just learned on today, June 13, about the loss of our beloved cousin. Today would have been her 97 th birthday--a life well-lived in the service of others:her family, her patients, and her friends. As we lost our parents and grandparents, Cousin Fannie was the rock and inspiration and source of great wisdom to us all. Always the lady, she lived with grace and dignity. Rest in peace, dear one. You are missed. Candace Bibby

Fannie Belle Kemp was not only a part of my family, I actually worked with her in the surgery department of Brackenridge Hospital and Trauma Center, Austin TX. Fannie is a LEGEND at Brackenridge. This woman saved lives for a living, and she did it with style. God bless her. - Truman Seligman.

I never knew Ms. Fannie. After reading her obit in the newspaper, I wish I had. She was such an inspiration for what a woman can do with her life. I will remember her as such and plan to share her life story from her obit with several young women that I know who are searching for the possibilities of their lives. Thank you for sharing her life story.
