Alfonso Rosas Obituary

Alfonso Bustillos Rosas (Poncho), 70, of Indio, CA passed away March 5, 2007. He was born on October 30, 1936 in Arlington, TX to Victor and Nicholasa Rosas.

He is survived by his wife: Maria Esther Rosas; siblings: Victoria Magana of Palm Springs, CA, Connie Lopez of Dallas, TX, Josefa Espinodola of Victoria, TX, Joe Rosas of Houston, TX, Santos Rosas of Arlington, TX; children: Bertha Carreon of San Diego, CA, Manuel Terminel of Indio,CA, Sylvia Sicre of Indio, CA, Kathy Hernandez of Indio, CA, Jimmy Lopez of Indio, CA, Norma Rosas of Indio, CA, Sandra Rubio of Indio, CA, Leroy Rosas of Palm Desert, CA, Ricky Gonzales of Indio, CA. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.

His hobbies included gambling at local casinos and playing his accordion at local churches and any family and friend gatherings.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 12, 2007, 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at Casillas Funeral Home in Coachella, CA with a 6:00 p.m. rosary. Services will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 8:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Soledad

in Coachella, CA. Burial will follow at the Coachella Valley Cemetery. Casillas Funeral Home are the directors in charge of services.

PONCHO will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
