Martin (Marty) Honig, 84, died in Palm Desert, California, his home for the last 15 years, on June 26, 2020. Marty was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Los Angeles, California. He lived most of his life in the Los Angeles area, residing in Los Angeles, Northridge and Westlake Village. Marty was a graduate of Los Angeles High School and the University of Southern California, earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from USC. He also served in the National Guard. Marty spent his career in pharmacy and the health care industry and was the owner of Milton's Pharmacy in Van Nuys for many years. He was a member of and a Past Master of Hollywood Masonic Lodge #355.

Marty was the husband of Pam Schott, loving father of Keith (Kelly), Michael (Emily) and Craig (Becky), and the grandfather of Charles, Ben, Joe, Meredith, Adam, and Madelyn. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Gayle Spero Honig, who he had known since they were 14 years old. He was also predeceased by his mother, Mildred Green.

Marty was an avid golfer, reader, traveler and a lover of dogs. He enjoyed singing and was a member of the choirs of Congregation Or Ami and the Desert Outreach Synagogue. He was a friend to many and was known for his sense of humor and positive attitude.

Funeral services will be private due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The family hopes to have a celebration of Marty's life on a future date.
