Michael Walker Obituary
Henderson, KY - Michael "Shane" Walker, age 49, of Henderson, KY passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice.
In addition to his parents, Vernon "Tubby" (Nov. 17, 2006) and Sandra "Cookie" Walker (Jan. 17, 2021), he was preceded in death by his sister Cindy Simpson (July 26, 2020).
Shane was a skilled carpenter and laborer for most of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching sports. Shane was a loving friend and you could always count on him to make everyone laugh.
Shane is survived by a son, Justin Walker, of Henderson, KY; stepchildren Katelyn and Cody Nantz and their mother, Stephanie Walker of Henderson, KY; nieces Tiffany Beck and Morgan Stanley and nephew Brett Simpson; half- brother Brian Walker and his wife Jan of Florida; special friend and caregiver Tracie Payne; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. Anthony's Hospice and the Lucy Smith King Care Center for their wonderful care that was given.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony's Hospice, 2410 S. Green St., Henderson, KY, 42420.
