C. Harris Obituary
He graduated from East High School. He was employed at Ineos Silicas as a machine operator for 16 years until his health began to fail in 2006. He was baptized at an early age at Mary Grove Church in Canton, MS under the leadership of Pastor A. Slaughter. He later confessed his belief in Jesus Christ at Christ Church of Faith in Joliet, IL under the leadership of Pastor Leatha Smith. He married his high school sweetheart, Eunice "Pat" Creal and had a loving union until his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Evangelist Lorean Mitchell.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Eunice "Pat" Harris; son, Edward F. (Deidre) Creal; two daughters, Monaka (Kevin) Bond and Michelle (Pamelle) Creal; grandchildren; two sisters, Pastor Leatha Smith, Pastor Paris Patrick; three brothers, Arthur Harris, Tharnel Harris and Kerry Harris; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, friends; two very special friends, Johnny Jones, and George "Phooney" Campbell.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 2, 2008 from 2-4 pm at the funeral home and 7-8 pm at Mt. Olive M.B. Church, 1710 Carey St., Joliet, IL, Rev. Hector Edwards, Pastor. Service at 8 pm, Rev. DeAndre Robinson, officiating. Interment Saturday, May 3, 2008, 10 am at Elmhurst Cemetery.
