Kathy Falk Obituary
Kathy Calamaras Falk, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2021, at Community First Medical Center in Chicago, IL, with the love of her daughters by her side. Kathy was born in Aurora, IL on November 25, 1961, the daughter of John Thomas and Tessie A. (nee Sperelakis) Calamaras. She was raised in Aurora, IL and was a graduate of West Aurora High School and attended the University of Denver in Denver, CO. She was a parishioner of Saint Athanasios Greek Church in Aurora, IL.
Kathy retired from her work as a travel agent to dedicate her life to raising her twin daughters. She loved music, movies, food, and most of all, her family. She was an incredibly loving mother who embodied patience, humor, resilience, and selflessness.
Kathy is survived by her daughters, Dr. Nikki (Kyle Bersted) Falk and Dr. Kristina Falk; her sisters, Rikki Calamaras, Marianne Calamaras, and Jami (Bill) Calamaras-Leech; niece, Joanna Schuth; and her nephew, Jeff Farrell.
She is preceded by her father, John Thomas Calamaras; mother, Tessie A. Calamaras-Gomez; and her step father, Dr. Leon Gomez.
Funeral Services for Kathy Calamaras Falk were held privately by the family and interment took place at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
