Keanna Lurry Obituary
She attended Joliet Township West High School and graduated 2000. She was presently employed at Silver Cross Hospital. She confessed Christ to be her savior.
She was preceded in death by her fiancé, Jerry Gillespie; father, Eric Lurry, Sr; maternal grandparents, Oliver and Ruby Bridges; paternal grandfather, George A. Lurry; aunt and uncle, Mary and William Wright; a cousin, Lavada Wright.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughter, Jerry'Ale Gillespie; mother, Ruby Bridges; sisters, Myisha Bridges, Armeisha Jones, Shayla Lurry, all of Joliet, IL, Tanisha and Erica Lurry of Virginia; brothers, Eric, Jr., Terrance of Joliet, IL, Timothy and Deshawn of Virginia; special aunt, Mary Bridges, Flowaya, Rhojetta Mitchell, Karen Gordon, all of Joliet, IL; uncles, Oliver, Jr., of Ottawa, IL, Deondray Bridges of Kankakee, IL, and Willie Ray Johnson of Joliet, IL; godmothers, Wilma "Cookie" Autman and Cynthia McDaniel; special cousins, Gerald Chamberlain, and Maxine (James) Wright; her godson, Tahriq Jones; special nephews, Rashawn and Rakwon Fields; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation Wednesday, January 7, 2009 9-11 am at Mt Zion Baptist Church, 402 Singleton Pl., Joliet, IL, Rev. Dr. Isaac Singleton, Sr., pastor. Service at 11 am, Rev. Victor Roland, officiating. Interment following at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.

I just want to say that my Prayers go out to both of the families which I did know both well. It was truly a blessing to know Pip for the time that I did.You will be greatly missed.All I can say is to stay strong for Jerry'Ale it will be hard for her growing up I knew both Jerry and Pip and it is upsetting to me to hear that a little girl to lose both Mother and Father. But they are watching over her. I remember the times when we worked at CLS together how much fun we had I think we did more laughing and joking then working that was her personality wonderful

I cannot began to imagine the pain you all must be feeling. I went to school with her she was a beautiful person and so full of life. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. She's gone but not forgotten. To the family of PIP, when I first heard the news of her illness all I could do was pray and send her my words of wisdom in the matter. She had to endure many months of pain and suffering, but no more will she feel those type of things. Many times we try to figure out GOD'S plan, but just know that PIP excepted GOD and Jesus Christ as her savior before she left and for that alone she will continue to live on. Everyone must remember to be strong for her daughter. For God is taking care of PIP and Jerry, but here on Earth we must continue to assist God in taking care of the left behind. May GOD bless you all and I will continue to lift the entire family up in prayers.

My condolences to the Lurry and Bridges families: I attended school and played basketball with "Pip". She was the kindest person that I have ever met. She would laugh at my jokes even if they weren't funny to anybody else ! I remember those fun rides on the way home from the basketball games.
