Died: February 21, 2017; in Joliet, IL
Leo H. Fox of Crest Hill, age 79, born in Joliet, IL January 21, 1938, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Crest Hill. Graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1956. Formerly employed by Phillips Control, Saper Chrysler Plymouth, Rockdale Controls, and Lockport Park District before retiring in 1999. Member of Joliet Moose Lodge #300 and the Rivals Club. An avid gardener, Leo truly loved the outdoors.
Preceded by his parents, Gertrude (nee Betzwiser) and Charles Fox; and his brother, Donald C. Fox.
Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Carol (nee Vancina) Fox of Crest Hill; his sister, Lois (Steve) Orlovich of Shorewood; sister-in-law, Kay Fox; brothers-in-law, James Vancina, Ken (Jacquie) Vancina, and Jerry (Marianne) Vancina; dearest uncle of Cathy (Butch) Craig, Dan (Debbie) Fox, John (Joyce) Fox, Ray (Susan) Fox, Roger Fox, Karen (Marion) Vancina Reid and Amanda (Tim) Vancina Witczak; grand nieces and nephews, Eric (Stacey) Fox, Nikki (Dennis) Fox Johnston III, Katie (Matthew) Fox Chrisler, Nathan, Kristin, Amber, Dylan, Josh, Jake Fox and Theo Witczak.
Thanks to the staff of Rosewood Care Center for caring for Leo this past year.
Funeral Services for Leo Fox will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:15 a.m. from the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rds, Joliet, IL to St. Ambrose Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or American Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Visitation Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

CAROL, MY SYMPATHY TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, LEO (shorty) AND I ATTENDED J.T. TOGETHER AND WORKED AT PHILLIPS CONTROL, WE HAD A LOT OF FUN IN THE 50's ESPECIALLY OUR TRIP TO THE WINTER CARNIVAL IN ST. PAUL MINN.
