Phyllis Kemp Love

Phyllis Kemp Love, 78, of Wooster, died July 4, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital.

She was born in Union City, Ind., on May 31, 1924, where she grew up on her parents' farm. She attended college at Indi ana University, where she received a B.S. degree in business and was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She continued her education at Kent State University in Ohio, where she received a master's degree in educa tion. She taught distributive educa tion in high school.

Mrs. Love played violin and piano and was also a talented singer with a three-octave range. She sang in college and for many years thereafter in various church choirs, often featured as a soloist. Mrs. Love was an avid bridge player through out her life. She was equally pas sionate about her favorite sports teams, the Cleveland Browns and the Indians. Of all things, she was most devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Robert and Cecil Kemp, wife of the late Homer Love, and sister of the late brothers James Kemp and Colonel Roger Kemp, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John (Jack) Sisler and wife, Paula, and Craig Sisler and wife, Corrine; two sisters, Thetis Greenlee and Jeanette Stephens; sister-in-law, Florence Ever itts; grandchildren, John, Jessica, Jeremiah, Salvatore, and Cole; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Domi nique, and Whitley; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at Parkview Church of Christ, 1912 Burbank Rd., Wooster. Interment of ashes will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent in memory of Phyllis Love to the Parkview Church of Christ, 1912 Burbank Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
