On July 23, 2017, David Scott Boyce, commonly known as, Scott, passed away in Albuquerque, NM, after a lengthy illness with multiple complications.

Scott had been a resident in Santa Fe, NM for over 10 years. He was born in Tucson, AZ, September 2, 1959, attended schools in Tucson and Mesa, graduating from Westwood High School in Mesa, AZ. He had been employed by Ponce de Leon Assisted Living facility for over ten years and retired, due to ill health, in 2016.

He is survived by his mother, Vada Boyce of Mesa, AZ; father George Boyce of Pena Blanca, NM; an older brother, Ken Boyce of Tucson, AZ; an older sister, Angela Dana of Mesa, AZ; an uncle, Robert Boyce of Burney, CA and was himself an uncle to 23.

He had a great sense of humor and was a teller of tall tales cobbled together with mostly true events in his life, was always optimistic when confronted with adversity, which is where he mostly resided. His working career included telephone installation, newspaper work, casino cashier and numerous construction jobs. Dogs and kids loved him and he loved them back.

Scott will be greatly missed by anyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He would have made one helluva lawyer. He had an inquisitive mind and could argue any subject until the sun came up in the west. He had a good heart and a great soul.
