Matthew Delfino Obituary
Artist, Graphic Designer & Illustrator
Matthew John Delfino, Jr., age 81, of Stamford, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Stamford, the son of the late Matthew J. Delfino, Sr. and Hanna (Parker), he was the beloved husband of Clyda Rae Delfino for 54 years. After graduating high school he enlisted and was a radio operator and combat veteran of Korea, having served in the US Marine Corps 1949-1952.
Matt attended the Art Center College of Design in California, graduating in 1959 with honors. An artist, graphic designer and illustrator for art studios in NY, Detroit and Toronto Canada. He resided in West Norwalk for 26 years and started his own studio, Matt Delfino Art Expressions & Graphics in Stamford, CT doing advertising, design and illustration for Fortune 500 companies in NY and CT. He retired in 1992 to Stamford enjoying painting, photography and traveling to his home in California.
In addition to his loving wife Clyda, he is survived by two sons; Nicholas Delfino (Linda Cappello) and Christopher Delfino (Robin Nagot), all of Norwalk, three brothers; Frank and Florence Delfino, John and Carol Delfino of Monroe and Joseph and Ann Delfino of Trumbull, and two sisters, Delores and Frank Mazzola and Grace and Lou D'Amico of Ft. Meyers, FL and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, September 22 at St. Paul's on the Green. Burial with military honors will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk. Memorial donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675 (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).

Dear Aunt Clyda, Nic & Chris: I'm heart broken over the passing of Uncle Matt. There are many memories that will always be with me. Always saw him busseling around Summer Street and I would always toot the horn and yell Uncle Matty...Love Cousin Janice & husband Biilly.
