There will be no visitation. All Faiths Funeral Home of Grand Island is in charge of arrangements.

An additional celebration of life to honor Mr. Badura will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Badura was born on May 4, 1948, at Loup City to Al and Irene (Mendyk) Badura.

Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Joanne; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Jennifer Badura of Aurora; his mother, of Loup City; sister, Sandi Jorgensen of St. Paul; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Martin Grgurich of Lincoln; and brother-in-law, Karl Jorgensen of North Loup.

Those also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren, Caleb and Danica Badura; nieces and their husbands, Cami and Nick Badura, Sarah and Tom McMaster and Jessica Jorgensen.

He was welcomed into heaven by his father and two brothers, Jimmy and Danny Badura.

Ron was raised in the Ashton/Loup City area, graduating from Loup City High School, class of 1966. He married Maxine Franckowiak on May 17, 1969. Later, he was united in marriage to Joanne Laidman on March 1, 1986.

Following high school, he made Grand Island his home, where he was employed at New Holland for over 39 years, retiring in 2006. Following retirement, Ron went to work for Riverside Golf Club.

He was a member of the Platt-Duetsche, Sons of the American Legion, past president of Polish Heritage Center in Ashton, United Veterans Honor Guard and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He volunteered calling bingo at the United Veterans Club and Blessed Sacrament Parish Thrift Store. Ron enjoyed giving back to his community. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing with his grandkids and was an avid gardener.

Memorials are suggested to the Polish Heritage Center in Ashton or the Paplin Cemetery Association. Love for Ron extended far beyond our boarders as his memory is cherished by many friends and family living in Canada. Joanne, Craig, Irene, Sandy and my dear friend, Joyce,
I can't imagine the sorrow you must all be going through. Irene, your faith has carried you through so much death with burying 3 sons and a husband, you truly have earned your heavenly crown of glory. I knew Ron from when Joyce and I were little girls and our continual friendship, but have come to known him as a good friend. We became much more acquainted with each other through being involved with the Polish Heritage Center in Ashton. We served on the board together, made pierogi's and joined in the planning of their annual celebration, which was also fun-we both liked to get a little crazy when we worked with each other.

We never know when our Creator will be calling us home, but I know Ron lived his life enjoying it. All his good deeds are being rewarded as he has earned his place in Heaven. May you all feel God's loving arms wrapped around you and may your faith in God ease your sorrow.

Craig and family,
I want to express my deepest sympathy. I did not know Ron, and have only had the privilege of working with Craig for a short time now, but I am sure that Ron was one special guy to have raised such a fabulous son! May you all find comfort in the Lord during this difficult time. From what Craig has said, Ron's 62 years on this earth were lived very well! Cherish the memories and know you will be reunited someday again in our heavenly home. God's Blessings to all of you.
