Barry Page Obituary
Barry Richard Page
Barry Richard Page passed away on May 14, 2021, at the age of 84. He spent his final days surrounded by family and friends whom he loved and who loved him dearly.
Born on March 20, 1937, in Wilkinsburg, PA, Barry survived a challenging childhood from which he emerged with an adventurous spirit, a gift for resilience, and an unshakeable gratitude for the love to be found in this life, which manifested in the boundless, generous love he showed his family and friends at every opportunity. Barry valued his foundation at Benedictine High School in Richmond, VA, and found meaningful community in the Catholic Church throughout his life, culminating with his dear parish family at St. Cyril of Jerusalem in Jamison, PA. Barry discovered his passion for business at the early age of 12 with his first job, in a pawn shop. At the age of 18, he joined the Marines and served proudly. He attended business school at RPI, now VCU, and eventually started his own successful sales and marketing company, BP Enterprise.
Barry treasured and delighted in his family. Proudly Irish, Barry had a go-for-broke sense of humor. He loved to laugh with friends and family, which he did often. He was a fierce fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, and a devoted follower of Penn State athletics. Barry was known for his sincerity, charm and selflessness. Most important to Barry was his faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Barry was predeceased by his younger brother, Michael; his father and stepmother, Edward and Clare Page; his mother, Nancy Page; and his adoring mother-in-law, Wilma Freeman. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 47 years, Dana Freeman Page; his five treasured children from their blended family (and their spouses) Barry Richard Page, Jr. (Katherine Allen), Melissa Page Deutsch (Brian), Susan Page Jacobson (Denis), Kim Garcia (Cesar), and Holly Pringle (Jeff Szczepanski); his 10 beloved grandchildren: Briar, Charlie and Louise Page; Walter and Jack Taylor; Susan and Douglas Deutsch; Allie Garcia; and Nick and Gabi Szczepanski; his much loved sister, Lee Page Pittman, and nephew, Mark Pittman (Sharon) and their children, Henry, James, and Ann Clare; and numerous friends and relatives.
Military burial will be on June 9th at Washington Crossing Military Cemetery at 2:00 followed by services at St Cyril's of Jerusalem at 3:30.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Cyril's of Jerusalem or Samaritan's Purse.
