Anne Sigler
Dundy - Anne Dunn Sigler, nicknamed Dundy, died in Lakeland FL on May 31, 2021. She was born on July 28, 1929 in Richmond, VA to Albert and Bessie Dunn. She was raised in Alexandria, VA. Anne graduated from the College of William and Mary with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, and she earned a Masters in Music Education degree at New York City College. Anne met Claude S. Nock, Jr. while they were both attending William and Mary, and in 1950 they were wed. Anne and Claude had three children (Laurie, Robin, and Jamie), and lived in Ashland, KY, Springfield, VA, Deal Island, MD, and St Simons Island, GA. Claude died in 1992, and in 1993, she married Maurice Sigler. They lived in Lakeland, FL at the Florida Presbyterian Homes until his death in 2011. She remained at Florida Presbyterian Homes until her death.
Anne was an accomplished soprano soloist, choir singer, adult/youth choir director, bell choir ringer, dedicated P.E.O. sister, amateur actress, preschool teacher, church leader, loving wife, outstanding mother, and devoted disciple for Jesus Christ. She has been an active church member and leader at several Presbyterian churches, her last being Hope Community Church in Lakeland, Florida.
Anne is predeceased by both of her husbands and daughter, Robin Nock Windsor. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Katherine Nelson and husband, Duane Nelson of Spokane, Washington, son, Jamie Charles Nock and wife Susan Nock of Hartwell, Georgia, and grandchildren Tyler Nock, Anna Lee Hoteling and husband Ben Hoteling, Kristyn Burke and husband Will Burke, and Liam Nelson and wife Alisha Nelson.
