LYDIA ESTHER CASTRO ORTIZ, 75 WINTER HAVEN - Mrs. Lydia Esther Castro Ortiz, 75, died from the end stage of Alzheimer's disease February 6, 2007. She was born in Gurabo, Puerto Rico, on February 13, 1931, she moved to Winter Haven from New York City in 1994. She was a member of Avivamiento Emanuel Church. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul. She is survived by her husband, Angelo Ortiz of Winter Haven; sons, Angelo Jr. of Brentwood, CA.; Ezekial of Tampa, FL.; David of Lancaster, PA.; and Joseph of Winter Haven; daughters, Rachel Rios of Winter Haven; and Annette Mata of Chatsworth, CA.; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
