ANNA LUCILA "LUCY" OLIVEIRA GONZALEZ DONNA - Anna Lucila "Lucy" Oliveira Gonzalez, 85, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at her residence in Donna. Lucy was born June 8, 1927 in Paras, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, daughter of Cresencio Oliveira and Antonia Villarreal. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Jose Luis Gonzalez; grandson Marco Antonio Negrete; 2 brothers, Leonel Oliveira, Crecencio Oliveira and sisters, Elvira Gutierrez and Umbelina De La Rosa. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Enrique Gonzalez Jr. and their 5 children, Estella Negrete (Chuy), Mario Enrique Gonzalez, Anna Gonzalez, Elsa Robles (Robert) and Victor Daniel Gonzalez; one sister, Amparo Gutierrez. Also surviving her are 5 grandchildren, Yvonne, Luis Edwardo, Fernando, Victoria and Nicholas; 1 great-granddaughter, Zoe. Lucy graduated from Harlingen High School and attended Our Lady of the Lake College in San Antonio, Tx (Business Major) Lucy enjoyed her retail store (Casa Lucy) and loved the people and community of Weslaco and Donna for over 50 years. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. Church services will be held at Sagrado Corazon. Interment will follow at Panteon Municipal in Paras, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Special thanks to her loyal caretakers, Lolita Frias and Elma Olivarez.
