Ricardo Chavez Obituary
Mr. Chavez is survived by his wife, Irma Chavez; four children, Ricardo Jr. Chavez, Veronica Chavez-Calderon, Roberto Chavez, and Rosa Chavez; five grandchildren, Miranda, Marc, Julianna, Sofia, and Jason; one great-grandchild, Even June; four sisters, Mere, Eva, Cata, and Tita; numerous nieces and nephews.
Riche retired from Crest Fruit Company in Alamo, Texas after 37 years of service. He enjoyed spending his time working in the yard, hunting, watching old westerns, and being an active member of the Alamo, Texas community service volunteer organization The Vip's. He was also a faithful member of the Resurrection Church Catholic Church in Alamo, Texas.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary service, Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Funeraia Del Angel Highland 6705 North Fm 88 Weslaco, Texas 78596. Placement of the ashes service will be at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Funeraia Del Angel Highland 6705 North Fm 88 in Weslaco.

Sincere condolences to the entire Chavez family. May the memories you have of your loved one give you peace and comfort during this difficult time. Richard was not only a co-worker for many years, but a good friend. May he rest in heavenly peace.

My deepest condolences to Ms. Chavez, Robert and family, plus the extended family. Mr. Chavez was a great community leader and mentor to lots of people in the community of Alamo. He always fought for the underdog and always gave of himself, to help others. I feel honor to have known him and will always remember him next the the BBQ pit making chickens for community benefits. You will be miss and Rest in Peace my friend!!
