PALMER, BRENDA SUE, age 65, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023, at her home. Funeral Services for Brenda will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Chippewa Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to HATS, 1105 S. Isabella Rd., Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, 48858. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel. Brenda was born April 24, 1957, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Russell and Florence (Hatt) Emlinger. She graduated from Shepherd High School with the class of 1975. Brenda loved people and was a social butterfly. She was selfless, loved hugs, and loved her dog, Maggie May. Brenda is survived by her son Adam Palmer of Appleton, WI; brother Duane (Judi) Emlinger of Ionia, sisters Janet (Dennis) Gauthier of Shepherd, Jean (Vance) Johnson of Shepherd; special friends Joe Wohlscheid and Cindy and Mike Smith of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter Amanda Palmer.
