Joyce Angelette Obituary

Joyce Dantone Angelette, on Thursday, January 9, 2014 and at the age of 89, completed her earthly life and entered a joyful, spiritual life with her parents, Vincent John Dantone and Frances (Pauline) Mercante Dantone. Her eternal love connects with so many people who were enriched by her generosity, spunk, and courage, especially her children born from her marriage to Max Chabaud, who are Charlotte Chabaud Scallan (David Lodrigues), Allan Chabaud, Ralph Chabaud, and Suzanne Chabaud Kemery (Timothy Kemery), her grandchildren, Joseph Arves, Jennifer Arves, Chase Chabaud, her great-grandchildren, Zowie Kemery and Kaleb Arves, her beloved sister, Gloria Gomez, and her lifelong friends. The family extends her gratitude for the kindness of people who blessed her life. There was only one Joyce and the world remains changed because of her. She will be deeply missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA (formally ALL Faith), on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Donations to St. Judes Children's Hospital in New Orleans can be made at http://www.chnola.org under the Giving tab. Instead of floral arrangements, bring loose flowers to grace Joyce's grave. Family and friends are invited to brunch at 733 Dante St, NO, LA 70118 immediately after the burial. Dear Suzanne, Charlotte, Alan and Ralph....my deapest sympathy on the loss of your beautiful mother. She was like a second mom to me growing up on Eads street and through the years after. What wonderful memories I have with you Suzanne and your beautiful mom. I know the feeling of that loss as my precious mom passed away on April 18th 2011. Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with you as you begin this part of your journey in life mourning the loss of someone so dear. I never had the pleasure of meeting Joyce, but enjoyed many stories and a lot of laughter about their times together from my sister and brother in law Eddie and Mary that love her dearly. May you find peace through knowing that your friends are lifting you up in prayer asking God to wrap you in his love and place a peaceful hedge of protection around you as you go through this difficult time.
