George Bookmyer Obituary
CLYDE: George P. Bookmyer, 81, of Clyde died on Friday, October 28.,2011 at Arbors of Clyde.
Mr. Bookmyer was born in Green Springs, Ohio on February 16, 1930 to the now deceased John and Agnes (Sutter) Bookmyer. He graduated from Green Springs High School in 1949. He was the former owner and operator of Bookmyer Printing in Tiffin.
Mr. Bookmyer was an avid gardener and enjoyed NASCAR, fishing and hunting.
On May 12, 1951 he married the former Gladys A. Davis and she survives; also surviving are two daughters, Marsha (Gary) Thompson, Clyde, Cynthia (Dennie) Perkins, Green Springs; daughter in law, Cynthia Bookmyer Wiezorek, Clyde; eight grandchildren, Timothy Wilson, Kandi Kalb, Shelley Martin, Denice Fleure, Dustin Perkins, Brandy Smith, Wendy Bookmyer and Mike Bookmyer along with two sisters, Marilyn Foulk, Clyde, Harriett (Jim) Eberly, Fremont survive.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Bookmyer; and siblings, Jim Bookmyer; Tom Bookmyer; Robert Bookmyer and Phyllis Mathia.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 from 5-7:00 PM at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Sister Regina Fisher officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Clyde Food Pantry.
