Rene Zink Obituary

Rene Zink

Fremont - The afternoon of Saturday, August 25th, 2018, Rene (Nause) Zink departed this earth, surrounded by her family.

Born on April 4th, 1961 to Marilyn "Sue" and Dale Nause, Rene was so many things to so many people. It is impossible to convey all that she was in any amount of words, but she was most proud of being "Nay Nay" to her granddaughter Kennedi, grandma to Kody and Ava, more-than-a-mother to her children Ryan Stohl (Carrie) and Becky MacLean (Ryan), and a patient, loving, and take-charge wife to Doug. She was also a sister, aunt, friend, bartender, traveler, adventure seeker, fire queen, camping enthusiast, Cavaliers fan, Buddy Guy lover, and hot-mama Harley rider. She was always the spirit of any group, and her loud, contagious laugh instilled joy in all those around her, reminding us of her zest for life.

Her time on this earth was unexpectedly cut short, but she continues to guide us on our ride through life. She reminds us that we need to "learn to live a little. See more, do more, and laugh more, because you never know when you'll be here again." She is now on her eternal vacation, pouring mimosas, keeping the fire burning in anticipation for our eventual arrival, and riding around her slice of the afterlife in a golf-cart with her beautiful mutt Porkchop. And yes, Porkchop is still the driver.

In true Rene fashion, there won't be a funeral, but a big outdoor party celebrating life at 4:00 pm on October 13, 2018 at 842 East CR 201, Fremont, OH, 43420. There will be laughing, eating, sharing of memories, and of course, a fire. Rather than sending flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Heart Association, or simply do something kind for someone and remind them to pay it forward.
