Elisabeth Szekeres Obituary
Elisabeth M. Szekeres , age 72, of Oshkosh , died Monday November 11, 2013 at Aurora Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 6, 1941 in Vecses , Hungary the daughter of Martin and Elisabeth Dobrovitz Wirth. On July 9, 1960 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church she married Steve Szekeres Sr.
Liz loved spending time with her family. She also loved to read romance novels. She loved to go to rummage sales to find interesting things. She loved to do puzzles and traveling back to Europe to visit family.She also liked to play cards and dominos.
She is survived by her husband Steve Szekeres Sr., three sons Steve( Lynn ) Szekeres Jr., Joseph(Karla) Szekeres, Martin(Alicia) Szekeres, one daughter Christina(Kendall) Micke, her eight grandchildren Amber, Zachary, Amanda, Samantha, Cole, Anna, Kyle, Kameron , one brother Matthew(Rose) Wirth, a sister-in-law Ruth Wirth, nieces, nephews and her dog Rocky.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Martin Wirth.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday November 14, 2013 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church( 830 S. Westhaven Dr.) at noon with Rev. Doug LeCaptain officiating. A visitation time will be held on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
A memorial has been established.
The family would like to thank the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center and the staff at Aurora Medical Center for their care of Elisabeth.

To the Szekeres family, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I grew up on Simpson Street and Mrs. Szekeres babysat me as a child. She was a very warm, loving person and I have a lot of happy memories playing at her house with Tina and Marty. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. God Bless.
