KNAPKE, DONALD CHARLES of Ortonville; died May 2, 2018. He was 83. Born July 30, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Robert Harry and Cecelia Thelma (nee: Finnerty) Knapke. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lynn Knapke; five children, Catherine Maniaci, Robert Knapke, Barbara (Wayne) Jurkins, Nancy Andritsis, and Michael (Dawn) Knapke; also survived by nine grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; he was preceded in death by son, Glenn Knapke. Don owned and operated ShareNet Realty and retired as a district sales manager for Allstate Insurance. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines Corp. He was an avid pool player, participating in the Hooterville 9 Ball League at the Boat Bar. A celebration of his life will be 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2018 at VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME-ORTONVILLE 135 South St., Ortonville Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Final resting place will be Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
