Cloud Brady Obituary

Cloud Brady
February 4, 1943 - March 4, 2022
Elma, Washington - Cloud Wells Brady succumbed to Parkinson's disease the morning of March 4, 2022. Born in Pensacola, Florida, Cloud struck out on her own after high school, and began her career by opening a gift shop to supplement her income as a hair dresser. She moved to Olympia in 1985, where she lived on a small farm with her two rescue dogs. She produced and hosted "Cloud's Corner" on Olympia's community TV, showcasing local businesses and personalities. Cloud was a regular musician performer at Barb's Soul Food Kitchen until she met the love of her life, Dennis Brady, a railroad engineer for the Union Pacific. In 2004, Dennis helped Cloud escape the city, where she had never felt at peace. They moved to White Bird, Idaho, and lived there until they found their true home near Elma, Washington. Cloud never lost her compassion for animals in need, and rescued many dogs. She was an avid student and a humble teacher of both Yoga and Tai Chi. Cloud is survived by her husband, Dennis Brady, her brother, Jim Stacey, of Petaluma, CA, and her rescue dog, Cricket. In lieu of flowers, Dennis requests friends make a donation to their favorite animal welfare or land conservation organization.

Cloud was an instructor at our local Y where my grandson and I enjoyed learning TaiChi and Yoga under Cloud's able teaching. She was a joy to know and her life on earth gave love and hope to all who met her. May the presence of her being bring comfort to those now missing her.
