John Coleman Obituary
JOHN COLEMAN John A. Coleman, 82, of Lansdale, died of complications from a stroke, June 3, 2011 at Abington Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Inge Rau (Woermann) Coleman and was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris (Crouthamel) Coleman, who died in 1978. Born September 29, 1928 in Hatboro, he was the son of the late Hurthel and Pearl (Mills) Coleman. Along with his sons, Mr. Coleman founded Mangar Industries, Inc., a medical packaging company established in 1986 and based in New Britain. Previously, he was employed as an Engineering Specialist with Sperry Univac between 1953 and 1983. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Coleman was proud to have served on the USS Pine Island in the early 1950s. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and serving as the family historian and photographer, and, in his earlier years, coaching for the Warrington Athletic Association. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are seven children, Donald Coleman and wife Karen of Perkasie, Douglas Coleman and wife, Shawn, of Solebury, Darlene Eberz and husband, Jerry, of Warrington, Dean Coleman and wife, Nicole, of North Wales, Scott Rau and wife, Melissa, of Pottstown, Lisa Rau Corr of Colmar, and Andrew Rau and wife, Courtney, of Devon. He was dear Pop-Pop to 17 grandchildren, Andrew, Noel, Emily, Chris, Tyler, Alex, Molly, Taylor, Megan, Casey, Alison, Scott, Will, Ann Elisabeth, Samantha, Grace, and Alexis. The Funeral Service will be held 11:30AM Friday, June 17 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 211 South Main St., North Wales. The family will receive friends after 9AM Friday at the church. Burial will be private in Sunset Memorial Park. For those desiring, contributions may be made in Mr. Coleman's memory to The Michael J.
