Ardis Clark Obituary

GRAND CHAIN - Ardis L. Clark, 89, of Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Grand Chain, died at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, in St. Frances Hospital in Tulsa.

Her parents were Carl and Florence Printz of Morganville, Kan.

Mrs. Clark was a member of Congregational Church in Grand Chain for many years and then a member of Asbury Methodist Church in Tulsa, Okla. She was also a member of Grand Chain's Order of the Eastern Star 710. Mrs. Clark worked at First State Bank of Grand Chain until her retirement. She was very active in church activities, Eastern Star and community activities.

Mrs. Clark is survived by three children, Ann Kearney of Wickliffe, Ky., Gayle Kurpeski of Elkhorn, Wis., and Jim Clark of Tulsa, Okla.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Eulise Heifner of Pasadena, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband, William Russell Clark; and a son, Roger Clark.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, in Congregational Church in Grand Chain, with the Rev. Steven Boyd officiating. Interment will be in Grand Chain Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak, with Eastern Star Rites at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grand Chain Cemetery Association, c/o Robert Heisner, 473 Big Stone Road, Grand Chain, IL 62941.
