William Reeves Obituary
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Murdale Gardens of Memory, with Pastor Joe McKinnies officiating. Military services will be conducted by American Legion Post 127, VFW Post 7190 and 2605 and Jackson County DAV Chapter 69. Friends may call from 10 to 10:45 a.m. today at Pettett Funeral Home.
William Dale was born July 14 1952, in Murphysboro, to William Roger Reeves and Wilma Jean (Harrison) Reeves.
He had worked as a dishwasher for 27 years at Mary Lou's Grill in Carbondale. He liked to collect coins, fish and he liked older blues and jazz music.
Mr. Reeves served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1981. Dale married Sandra (Koch) White on July 12, 1999, in Murphysboro, and she survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Wilma Reeves of Murphysboro; one stepdaughter and her husband, Dawn Gomez and Santiago Gomez of Carbondale; one stepgrandson, Nathan Gomez of Carbondale; four brothers and one sister, James Reeves of Murphysboro, Kathryn Massey and her husband, John Massey of Curran, Robert Reeves of Anna, Michael Reeves of Oklahoma City and Steve Reeves of Murphysboro.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Roger Reeves; and one brother, Christopher Scott Reeves.
He will be missed by his family and friends at Mary Lou's Grill.

My condolences to the entire family on behalf of myself & my Mother, Mary Lou, who thought the world of Dale & loved him, too!! I have many great memories of working & knowing Dale for the past 28 years. His memory & spirit will always be within our hearts & at "Mary Lou's" as well. He was a very dedicated & hard working man. My thoughts & prayers are with you all. He is now resting in peace.
