Donna Wake Obituary
Muncie - Donna Jean Wake, age 78, of Muncie, IN, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 16, 2015 at her residence.
Born on July 6, 1937 in Muncie, she was the daughter of Ralph and Margaret (Williams) Winkler.
She was a lifetime area resident and enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping for "deals."
Donna recently took the Lord into her heart and was proud of that accomplishment.
Donna worked as an investigator for the Center Township Trustee for over thirty-five years.
Survivors include her sons, Rodney Rainey and Devon (Rita) Wake, both of Muncie; daughters, Kimberly Wake, Cathena (David) Upchurch and Lisa (Cindy Pierce) Wake, all of Muncie; grandchildren, Donnie, Jason, Rodney, Jacob, Jarret, Patrick, Sarah, Eric, Dillon, and Corbin; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Tessy Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of forty-eight years, Merle Wake in 2012; sisters, Pat, Alice, and Mary; Aunt Beck; Uncle John; cousin, Danny Baker; and best friend, who was like a daughter, Tammy Hodges.
Friends may call on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. Indiana 3, Muncie.
Funeral services for Donna will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the funeral home with calling one hour prior to service.
Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.
Memorial contributions in memory of Donna may be made to I.U. Health Ball Hospice or to The Little Red Door.
