Dorothy Stinson Everett RALEIGH, N.C. - Dorothy Stinson Everett, 82, passed away peacefully June 10, 2016, in Hospice Home in Raleigh, NC. She was born May 8, 1934, in Catawba, SC, to the late Beulah Leslie Stinson and Nannie Howze Stinson. She was preceded by death by her husband of 54 years, Dr. Percival Leonard Everett. Dorothy retired after working as her husband's dental assistant for 40 years in Columbia, SC. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, godmother and aunt, who will be dearly missed. Dorothy is survived by her son, Percival Everett and wife, Danzy Senna; daughter, V. Denise Everett, M.D., and husband, Paul Speicher; grandchildren, Michelle Speicher, Garrett Speicher, Henry Everett, Miles Everett; god-daughter, Ylida Roberson; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday, June 13, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, 1424 Statesville Ave., Charlotte, NC, 28206. Funeral service will be held immediately after the visitation, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1504 W. Sugar Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28262.
