Aunt Fran was not related by birth but adopted as family when two northern families met in Columbia years ago. She truly was the energetic encourager who delighted in kids, first us and then our kids. She loved to read and see the thrill on kids faces. She will be missed greatly. We loved her so much.

I want to rejoice in her life- the love that she shared with all of us and the peace that God filled her with. She shared happiness with those around her, with just her smile. I am sure that she is dancing in Heaven and making many smile.

Fran was an absolute delight to know and to be around. When I started at Belle Hall, she took me under her wings and "clued" me in on so many things. It was as though we had known each other for a long time. She had such a charming sense of humor and could say so many things in just a look. Thousands of children have been blessed by having Fran in their lives. I know I have. Rest in peace, dear friend. You are truly an everyday angel.

This fellow librarian loved the enthusiasm Fran had for her little skits and plays she had for storytelling time. I am sure her memory will live long in the minds of the many adults who had the great luck to have this talented woman as their library Lady to foster a love of reading in their early years.
