Lorena Cornacchione Bradshaw COLUMBIA - Lorena Cornacchione Bradshaw passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2013. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Daniel David Bradshaw, Jr., son, Dan (Nancy) Bradshaw, and brothers, Tony, Guy and Vic Cornacchione. She is survived by sister, Rosa (George) Constande, daughters, Susan (Daniel) Davis, Anne (Delmas) Watkins; son, Mark Bradshaw, grandchildren, Leslie (Chris) Barnes, Amy Bradshaw, Kayla and Kerri Watkins, and three great-grandchildren. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, she was an avid Gamecock fan. She loved sports, gardening, reading, bible study, and spending time with her grandchildren, especially at the zoo. Lorena had a passion for educating young children and devoted her life to teaching at Dutch Fork Elementary School in Lexington-Richland School District Five. Everyone who met her loved her and admired her faith, compassion, and strength. Her Godly example was her most admirable trait. She was involved in various committees at St. Peter's Catholic Church where she previously taught, and at Our Lady of the Hills where she was a respected member. A Celebration Mass for Lorena Cornacchione Bradshaw will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 2, 2013 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church. Following the service a luncheon will be held in the Family Life Center at the church where the family will receive friends. The family expresses deep gratitude to Compassionate Care Hospice for their extraordinary love and care. In lieu of flowers, her desire was to establish a college fund to honor Kayla and Kerri Watkins who were lovingly devoted to her care. Memorials may be made to: Anne Watkins Memorial Fund at Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union, 919 N Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. Dear Family of dear Lorena, I have no doubt that in addition to reuniting with those closest to her, she and Dot Rozier are "getting caught up." The two of them were so dear to me when I was a young and homesick woman. We have known each other more than 30 yrs. and she always had a smile for everyone and a daily example of her love for the Lord. Peace be to you all. Sincerely, Randi Olafson (OLH)

Lorena Bradshaw was a truly wonderful teacher, friend, and mentor to me. In my senior year at USC, I had the honor and good fortune to do my student teaching in Lorena's first grade classroom at Dutch Fork Elementary. She and I kept a loving relationship for all these many years, which I will always treasure. God bless all of Lorena's family, and rest assured this good woman is with the Lord.

Susan, Anne, Mark - your mother was a special lady. I have so many wonderful memories of her and us as children, growing up in the neighborhood. I loved her and I love all of you! I am so sorry, but she is in heaven now with our Lord and Savior, and you dad and Dan. That makes us smile. Again, I love you all, Jan Fields Sidwell
