Mary Ann Kelly McGee COLUMBIA - Memorial service for Mary Ann Kelly McGee, 88, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. McGee died Thursday, July 3, 2014. Born in Ridgeway, she was a daughter of the late Ruben Linder Kelly and Zula Raines Kelly. Mrs. McGee graduated from Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and Long Island College Hospital in anesthesiology. She retired as a nurse anesthetist from Dorn VA Hospital. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Mary Ann enjoyed the outdoors, especially spending time at her family farm where she was known as "The Warden." Mary Ann loved her friends and family and was always there to lend a hand. Surviving are her son, Tommy McGee (Cindy) of Blythewood; grandchildren, Tracey Jones (Sean) of Aiken, Beal DeWitt (Ashley) of Columbia; three great-grandchildren; niece, Vikki Vrooman of Washington, D.C.; and nephew, Chuck Vrooman of College Station, Texas, and other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry T. McGee; and sister, Zelma Vrooman. Special thanks to neighbors Jack and Peggy Singletary. Memorials may be made to a conservation group of one's choice.
