Rusty was a special friend and fine Lawyer. I met Rusty long distance when I was Asst.Claims Manager for USF&G in Atlanta in the 50's and 60's and we became closer friends when I came to South Carolina as Claims Manager. When I passed the Bar and started practicing in '69 I then came to know Rusty even better, in the court room and on the golf course. Whether you were with him or against him, he was amusing and stimulating, and just plain fun. He was an early supporter of our defense community, and we enjoyed Rusty and Mary at our meetings. God Bless Mary, Russ and all the family. Jack and Nan Barwick

Dear Mary,Russ,Nancy, & Meredith,
I am sorry to hear of Rusty's death. He was a wonderful man and I know you will miss him very much. If I can ever be of any service to you
please don't hesitate to ask. I am living in Daphne, AL and would love to have you visit sometime. It is beautiful here and so much history to see.
Take Care,
