Gregory E. Dognazzi, 50

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Gregory E. Dognazzi, age 50, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 9, 2021, after being stricken ill at Borderland State Park in Easton.

Born in Needham, MA on September 18, 1970, he was a loving son of Madeline A. (Cinquegrano) Dognazzi of Mansfield and the late Giles Dognazzi.

Greg grew up in town, was a 1989 graduate of Mansfield High School and attended Johnson & Wales University in Rhode island. For over twenty years, he had been employed as a Customer Service Representative at the Sullivan Tire Distribution Center in Taunton.

Along with his family, he was a communicant of Saint Mary's Church in Mansfield. He had a lifelong love for sports and as a youngster played midget football and in high school played on the baseball team.

Greg came from a close family and will always be remembered for the exceptional care he gave to his mother. He enjoyed reading, cooking and the outdoors, which included a special love for taking walks at Borderland State Park in Easton. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his devoted brothers: Christopher J. Dognazzi of Mansfield and Joseph M. Dognazzi and his wife Lynn of Raynham. He was the cherished uncle of Cassandra and Christian. He is also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles and friends.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, April 16th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 17th at 11:30 A.M. in Saint Mary's Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Mansfield.

In lieu of flowers, Gregory's family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
