Kenneth Robert (Chappy) Chapman, 80, of Bridgewater, died January 12, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He was born October 23, 1934, in Clayville, son of the late Kenneth W. and Anna Smith Chapman. He attended UFA and graduated from Leonardsville Schools. Chappy worked for the Hobart Company, retiring in 1994. He then worked for Carbone Honda, retiring in 2013. In his younger years, he enjoyed snowmobiling and horses. He enjoyed cars, especially his Mustangs and T-Birds, and was an avid fan of NASCAR. He also enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his children: son, Robert Chapman, of Brookfield; daughter, Kelly Robinson and husband, Howard, of Bridgewater; son, Tracey Chapman, of Ohio; daughter, Cindy Sauter, of Schenectady, NY; son, Raymond Dutcher, of Las Vegas; his grandchildren, Darrel Williams and wife, Megan, Daniel Williams, Cristin Sauter and Jake Sauter, and McKenzie Chapman; his great-grandchildren, Dylan, Ohin and Luke; his brother, Keith Chapman and wife, Sandy, of Munnsville; sister-in-law, Millie Chapman, of Brookfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, William Chapman. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Sitrin Healthcare for all of the care given to him. The funeral will be Friday at 11:00 AM at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 365 W. Main St., West Winfield, with the Rev. Jerry Race officiating. Interment will be in the spring at Unadilla Forks Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
